WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OUR CLASS THIS WEEK?

PERSONAL BINDERS - Students will continue using daily sign in sheets. Some students will be given advanced sign in sheets and will be asked to find elapsed times. Students also will begin using grooming checklists. Please check binders each night for important notes regarding lunch money, gym clothes, permission slips, etc.

DAILY LIVING SKILLS
"Getting a Job." This story is about Chad who is eager to have a paying job in the community. Where will he begin? What kind of skills will he need? How can he get these skills? Students will find the answers to these questions and more as we discuss the story. Students will also explore positive work skills and their personal resumes. These items will be added to their Transition Binder.

"Following Directions at Work" - Students will read story and discuss ways in which directions can be given and what happens when directions are not followed. Everyone will participate in an activity called "How's My Attitude?" This activity expands upon attitudes when following directions, especially when asked to do something that is out of the normal routine.
